Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy — MyEasyAgent Last updated: 7 July 2026
Section 1 — Who We Are
MyEasyAgent is a property viewing coordination service based in Lagos, Nigeria, registered as MyEasyAgents Limited. Our core promise is simple: we confirm that a property is real, available, and listed by a verified agent before we charge you anything.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have under Nigerian law. We have written it in plain English because your privacy should not require a lawyer to understand.
Section 2 — What Information We Collect and Why
We collect personal information in five specific situations. Each one is explained below with what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
2.1 — When a Client Submits a Viewing Request or Property Preference
What we collect: Your name, WhatsApp number, target area, budget range, number of bedrooms required, and your timeline for moving.
Why: To match you with confirmed available properties that fit what you are looking for, and to coordinate viewings with verified agents.
How long we keep it: While you are actively searching. If you have not contacted us or responded to a message in 3 months, your data is marked inactive. You can request deletion at any time and we will remove your data within 24 hours.
2.2 — When an Agent or Property Contact Submits a Listing
What we collect: Your name, WhatsApp number, LASRERA or ERCAAN licence number if you hold one, a photo of your licence card, the property address and details, and your confirmation that you hold a direct mandate to list the property.
Why: To verify your credentials against the public register, confirm the property exists and is available, and display your verified badge on the listing.
How long we keep it: While you are active on the platform plus two years after your last listing, to maintain records required by the LASRERA regulatory framework.
2.3 — When a Connector Shares a Third Party’s Contact Details
When someone acts as a Connector — sharing the contact details of a person who holds the direct mandate for a property — we handle that third party’s information with particular care.
What happens: We contact the third party directly and honestly. We tell them who referred them and what MyEasyAgent does. We ask for their consent to proceed. If they decline, their contact details are deleted within 24 hours and they are never contacted again by anyone at MyEasyAgent regarding that introduction or any other matter.
Legal basis: This processing is carried out under the legitimate interest basis of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). The legitimate interest is connecting verified property mandate-holders with clients who need confirmed viewings. We balance this against the third party’s rights by limiting contact to one honest introductory message and deleting data immediately if consent is not given.
2.4 — When a Client Submits a Document to the Agreement Clinic
What we collect: Your name, WhatsApp number, payment reference, and the tenancy agreement document you upload for review.
Why: To assign the agreement to a retained reviewing lawyer and deliver the review report back to you.
How long we keep it: The document and review report are deleted 90 days after the report is delivered to you. We retain only the payment reference and the date of the engagement for accounting purposes.
2.5 — When Someone Subscribes to Property Alerts
What we collect: Your WhatsApp number and your stated preferences (area, budget, bedrooms).
Why: To send you WhatsApp messages when a confirmed property matching your preferences becomes available.
How long we keep it: Until you opt out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any alert message. Your number is removed from the alert list within 24 hours.
Section 3 — What We Never Do
- We never sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
- We never share tenancy agreement documents submitted to the Agreement Clinic with anyone other than the specific reviewing lawyer assigned to your case.
- We never add your phone number to broadcast lists or group chats without your direct consent.
- We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or targeted marketing by third parties.
- We never store your payment card numbers. All payments are processed through standard bank transfers or verified payment links — we see only the payment reference, not your card details.
Section 4 — How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored using the following services:
- Google Forms and Google Sheets, managed by Google LLC, for collecting and organising viewing requests, agent applications, and listing submissions.
- Google Drive, managed by Google LLC, for storing Agreement Clinic documents during the review period.
- WhatsApp Business, operated by Meta Platforms Inc., for all client and agent communication.
The MyEasyAgent website itself does not store personal data. It is a static website that does not have user accounts, does not collect form submissions, and does not run server-side code.
Section 5 — Cookies
The MyEasyAgent website uses one first-party cookie:
- measyagent_consent — records whether you accepted or declined the cookie consent banner. This cookie contains no personal information, is not shared with anyone, and expires after 365 days.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, retargeting scripts, or third-party analytics tools. There are no other cookies set by our website.
Section 6 — Your Rights Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023
Under the NDPA 2023, you have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate data.
- Delete your data entirely.
- Stop us from processing your data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our website. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and resolve it within 30 days.

Section 7 — Children
MyEasyAgent’s services are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Section 8 — Changes to This Policy
When we update this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we send a WhatsApp notice to anyone with an active property preference or alert subscription. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Section 9 — Contact Us
For any privacy question, data request, or concern, contact us using the details listed on our website. Personal questions receive personal responses — not automated replies.
